Chamber Music in the Schools

Programs and Repertoire

Our programs offer a repertoire selected from a great variety of genres and styles, from Coldplay to Mozart. The presentations are tailored to accommodate the age and music experience of the students in the classroom. The length of live performances varies from 45 to 90 minutes, depending on the needs of your schedule and the age of the pupils. Virtual presentations are usually 30 to 45 minutes for kindergarten to 3rd grade and 45 to 60 minutes for 4th to 7th grades. High school students would typically be 60 minutes. During both live and virtual sessions, in addition to hearing live professional chamber music (pre-recorded musical videos for the virtual option), the musicians will show their instruments with great emphasis on their uniqueness and particularities, as well as introducing the music and its composers. At the end of each presentation, the students and teachers will have the opportunity to ask questions to the musicians.  CMITS takes great pride in interacting with every student and fulfilling the curiosity of their growing minds.
